A Bit About Me
Being born and bred in Armidale I have a large knowledge of the community and it's surroundings. I have a passion. to travel overseas and see different cultures. With a rich background in support work and a deep commitment to the disability sector, I have dedicated my career to enhancing the lives of others through compassionate and person-centred care. My journey began in 2017 when I ventured into support work, driven by my own experiences as a young parent and my role as a proud grandparent to two energetic boys. These personal experiences have shaped my understanding of the importance of tailored support in fostering independence and fulfillment in individuals' lives.
Throughout my career, I have found immense satisfaction in being part of my participants' journeys, advocating for their rights, and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and support. In 2023, I took on the role of support coordinator, where I continue to focus on helping individuals find the right supports to match their unique needs and aspirations.
After gaining valuable experience in large organizations, I realized the significance of a personal touch in service delivery. This understanding drew me to **Cos You Can**, an organization dedicated to providing person-centred support. In my current role, I am excited to contribute to building a company culture that values each individual's preferences, empowering them to choose their supports in a way that resonates with their lives.
My mission is to advocate for those I serve, ensuring that every individual feels valued, respected, and supported on their journey to achieve their goals. I look forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact in the disability sector.
